Transaction Background

Founded in 2002, Mobile Innovation was instrumental in the creation of many devices based on Symbian OS (Series 60, Series 80, Series 90, and UIQ). At the time of the transaction, Mobile Innovation’s customers included the world’s leading handset manufacturers, network operators and semiconductor suppliers.

Mobile Innovation brought significant experience in mobile software development to Macromedia through its work with the entire value chain and associated technology.

Our Role

Clarity advised the shareholders of Mobile Innovation on all aspects of the transaction.

Clarity managed the overall transaction process, leading negotiations with the acquirer, co-ordinating due diligence and maintaining momentum through to a successful conclusion.

“Clarity worked very closely with the management team to achieve a sale for the business which met the requirements of both the shareholders and the acquirer. They worked very hard to bring the transaction to a successful close.”
